Introducing the Intelix Flex Matrix System. The FLX-88 card and cage chassis can accommodate up to four modular expansion cards. Cards are available to handle HDMI, DVI, VGA, RGB, Y/Pb/Pr component video, and/or HDBaseT inputs, while output card choices include HDMI, DVI, and HDBaseT, so it is possible to use this matrix system to drive both local as well as remote zone outputs. Use standard UTP twisted-pair cabling, such as Cat-6 to connect remote zones via the HDBaseT protocol.
Twisted-pair receivers are sold separately below, so you can get exactly the functionality you need. Use any combination of receivers, up to a total of eight receivers (add to your cart below):
With built-in switching, scaling, format conversion, audio embedding and native ability to connect to remote zones via HDBaseT, the FLX-88 can route any type of input to any type of output. Control via front panel push-buttons, the included IR remote, or connect to third-party control systems via RS-232. With so much flexibility and functionality built right in, the FLX-88 makes it possible to replace a whole rack full of traditional A/V distribution gear with a single, elegant 2RU system. Please read this flyer for more details.
As with virtually all systems that are based upon twisted-pair cable technology, the Intelix Flex Matrix Distribution System will work with virtually any twisted-pair cables, including Cat-5e and Cat-6, but range and system bandwidth are directly related to both distance and cable quality, so to get the highest resolutions at the greatest distances, you will want high-quality, low-skew cables. Check the installation manual for more information. If you want the very best pre-terminated cables, please consider our VideoTwist cables.
Like most Intelix products, the FLX-88 comes with a two year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
Distances and picture quality may be affected by cable grade, cable quality, source and destination equipment, RF and electrical interference, and cable patches. Intelix specifications are based on straight-through cabling with standard-grade Cat 5e unless noted otherwise.
