The Intelix DIGI-88B 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switcher combines award-winning matrix switching capabilities with extender technology by the Valens HDBaseT chipset.
The DIGI-88B can be used as a stand-alone HDMI matrix switcher, or add optional HDBaseT twisted-pair receivers to connect remote zones, creating a sophisticated HDMI matrix distribution system. Both local and HDBaseT outputs are active simultaneously, so a total of 16 local and remote zones can be driven. Use standard HDMI cables for local zones and/or standard UTP twisted-pair cabling, such as Cat-6 to connect remote zones distances as great as 70 meters (225 feet) via the HDBaseT protocol.
HDBaseT twisted-pair receivers are sold separately below, so you can get exactly the functionality you need. Use any combination of receivers, up to a total of eight receivers (add to your cart below):
The DIGI-88B handles HDMI HDTV video formats from 1080i to 1080p and computer resolutions up to 1920x1200, (including 3D formats), all non-ARC HDMI audio formats including 5-channel PCM, Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, as well as bi-directional wideband IR signals.
Control the matrix system from the front panel, the included IR remote control, or use the built-in web server to control the DIGI-HD88B from any computer or smart phone. And of course, an RS-232 interface is included for interfacing with most third-party control systems. Please read this flyer for more details.
As with virtually all systems that are based upon twisted-pair cable technology, the Intelix Flex Matrix Distribution System will work with virtually any twisted-pair cables, including Cat-5e and Cat-6, but range and system bandwidth are directly related to both distance and cable quality, so to get the highest resolutions at the greatest distances, you will want high-quality, low-skew cables. Check the installation manual for more information. If you want the very best pre-terminated cables, please consider our VideoTwist cables.
Like most Intelix products, the DIGI-88B comes with a two year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
The Intelix DIGI-88B is a eight input by eight output HDBaseT/HDMI matrix switcher. The Intelix DIGI-88B matrix improves the ease of installation similar to previous Intelix HDMI matrix switchers.
The DIGI-88B has dual outputs on each output port, allowing the same signal to be routed to the HDMI connector and a remote destination with an HDBaseT receiver. The HDBaseT ports support 1080p HDMI video with audio, bi-directional wide-band IR, matrix control via IR, and HDCP. The matrix is HDMI compatible and supports up to 2K resolutions, Deep Color, and full 3D capabilities.
The DIGI-88B can be controlled via front panel buttons, front panel IR, external IR, remote IR through HDBaseT extenders, RS232, and Ethernet. The matrix includes a simple IR remote control to allow IR switching. This IR remote control can be learned into universal remotes and IR based control systems. The matrix also features a full command set for RS232 and Ethernet control with third party control systems.

The back panel includes connections for IR receivers/emitters, RS232, LAN, 120/240 VAC power, External IR, in addition to the eight HDMI inputs. Both local HDMI and remote HDBaseT connections are included for each of the eight outputs. Also included is a power switch and DP switches for setting EDID.
