The Intelix AVO-V2A2-F
Y/C or Dual Composite Video and Stereo Audio Balun transmits/receives
Y/C or two composite video as well as stereo (or two mono) audio signals up to 2200 feet over a
single Cat 5 type cable.
This professional-grade device uses a high-performance passive design to deliver crisp Video and audiophile-quality stereo sound.
The Intelix AVO-V2A2-F Y/C or Dual Composite Video and Stereo Audio Balun is an ideal solution for corporate A/V, schools, churches, auditoriums, as well as for use by discriminating individuals - just about any situation that involves A/V distribution.
With its enclosed design, the Intelix AVO-V2A2-F may be used stand-alone, or may also be rack-mounted by using an optional rack-mount kit.
The video connectors are RCA-female, suitable for use with standard composite video cables. The audio connectors are also RCA-female, color-coded white and red for use with standard audio interconnect cables. Connection to the twisted-pair cable is via RJ45.
Notice that Intelix baluns are designed to work with standard unshielded CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 twisted-pair cable - shielded cable is not required! If you want the very best RJ45 pre-terminated twisted-pair cables, please check out our VideoTwist Cat-6 cables.

The Intelix AVO-V2A2-F balun is an ideal solution for transmitting two channels of composite video and ultra-high quality stereo audio up to 2200 feet over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs, AVO-V2A2-F baluns replace bulky coaxial cable and utilize a building's existing structured cabling network.
The Intelix AVO-V2A2 transmits an two composite video signals (or one Y/C video signal) and two analog audio signals up to 2,200 feet over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs, AVO-V2A2 baluns replace bulky coaxial cable and utilize a building’s existing Cat 5/LAN cabling.

In this connection example, two
AVO-V2A2-F baluns connect a DVD player to a remote plasma and an audio receiver. Audio and video from the DVD player is balanced by the
source balun, transmitted over the Cat 5 cabling, and then unbalanced by the receive balun. The audio from the DVD player is sent to
the audio receiver and the video is sent to the plasma.
This connection example shows a pair of AVO-V2A2-F baluns being used in a bi-directional video and audio intercom system. Video and audio are transmitted from the camera at each end to a monitor at the other end. In this way, both video and audio can be transmitted in full duplex over a single Cat-5 type cable.
