Composite Video Wallplate Balun w/ RJ45 Termination transmits/receives composite video signals up to 2500 feet over a single Cat 5 type cable.

The Intelix AVO-V1-WP-F Composite Video Wallplate Balun w/ RJ45 Termination is an ideal solution for security and digital signage, as well as for use by discriminating individuals - just about any situation that involves A/V distribution.
With its attractive Decora-style wallplate design, the Intelix AVO-V1-WP-F is simple to install in a standard single-gang electrical box. A Decora trim cover is not included, but we do offer them as an option below.
The video connector is an RCA-female jack, suitable for use with standard composite video cables and connection to the twisted-pair cable is via RJ45.
Notice that Intelix baluns are designed to work with standard unshielded CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 twisted-pair cable - shielded cable is not required! If you want the very best RJ45 pre-terminated twisted-pair cables, please check out our VideoTwist Cat-6 cables.

The Intelix AVO-V1-WP-F wallplate balun is an ideal solution for transmitting composite video over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs or with the rack-mountable Intelix AVO-V1-F balun, AVO-V1-WP-F wallplate baluns replace bulky coaxial cable and are perfect for security and video signage applications. The AVO-V1-WP-F features a female RCA connector on a standard decora plate.
The Intelix AVO-V1-WP-F wall-plate balun transmits one composite video signal over standard structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs or with a rack-mountable Intelix AVO-V1-F balun, AVO-V1-WP-F baluns replace bulky coaxial video cable and transmit a video signal up to 2,200 feet.

In this connection example, the composite video from a DVD player is distributed over Cat 5 cabling to a remote video switcher. The DVD player connects to an Intelix AVO-V1-WP-F wallplate balun and an Intelix AVO-V1-F composite video balun connects directly to the composite video switcher.
