The Intelix AVO-V1-PAIR-F
Composite Video Balun Set transmits/receives composite video signals up to 2500 feet over a single Cat 5 type cable.
This professional-grade device uses a high-performance passive design to deliver crisp composite video.
The Intelix AVO-V1-PAIR-F Composite Video Balun Set is an ideal solution for security and digital signage, as well as for use by discriminating individuals - just about any situation that involves A/V distribution.
With its all-in-one enclosed design, the Intelix AVO-V1-PAIR-F is designed for direct connection to equipment, eliminating the need for video patch cables.
The video connector is a BNC-male and connection to the twisted-pair cable is via RJ45.
Notice that Intelix baluns are designed to work with standard unshielded CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 twisted-pair cable - shielded cable is not required! If you want the very best RJ45 pre-terminated twisted-pair cables, please check out our VideoTwist Cat-6 cables.
These units are sold in pairs, although they can also be used with other

The Intelix AVO-V1-PAIR-F balun set is an ideal solution for transmitting composite video over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. AVO-V1-PAIR-F baluns replace bulky coaxial cable and are perfect for security and video signage applications. The Intelix AVO-V1-PAIR-F includes two baluns.
The Intelix AVO-V1 transmits one composite video signal over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs, AVO-V1 baluns replace bulky coaxial video cable and utilize a building’s existing Cat 5/LAN cabling. AVO-V1 baluns are typically used in security and monitoring applications with such equipment as CCTV cameras, monitors, DVRs, video sequencers, video multiplexers, quads, switchers, servers, and VCRs.
The Intelix AvoCat Series of baluns is the ideal solution for sending audio and video over structured cabling.
When signal quality matters, choose Intelix.
In this connection example, the composite video from two security cameras is transmitted via the AVO-V1-PAIR-F baluns and Cat 5 cabling to a remote video switcher. The baluns are connected directly to the send and receive device's BNC connectors.
