Audio Authority HLX-8C32D 8x32 Modular Matrix Distribution System
This preconfigured Audio Authority HLX-8C32D 8x32 Modular Matrix Distribution System offers support for 8 input sources; component video, digital audio, analog audio as well as source control. 32 Cat 5e/6 twisted-pair outputs accommodate 32 A/V zones.
The HLX™ System distributes HDTV signals up to 1,000 feet away using convenient twisted-pair Zone Receivers mounted wherever televisions are to be located. The system features multiple control options, including IR, RS-232, and Ethernet, in addition to elegant touch-sensitive front panel controls.
The HLX-8C32D comes pre-configured with (2) 2114 4-input HD Video/Audio Source Cards to handle up to eight component video, coaxial digital audio or optical digital audio and analog stereo inputs.
Included output cards are (4) 2248 8-Output HD Video/Audio Cat-5 Zone Cards, providing a total of 32 twisted-pair outputs for transmission to remote A/V zones. All that is needed to complete the system are the Zone Receivers, which are sold separately as 9878, 9879 and 9880 (add to your cart below for special bundle pricing).

Expansion Options
The HLX Matrix Distribution System is based on a card and cage design that is both affordable and installer-friendly, making it simple to expand the system as the need arises. A wide range of input cards can handle component video, S-video, composite video, VGA/RGB, optical digital audio, coaxial digital audio, analog stereo audio and IR.
Output cards are available for all of the inputs mentioned above as well as twisted-pair cards to drive either single or dual cat-5 A/V zone receivers.

Greatly Improved Capacity, with Simple Expandability
HLX Modular Matrix Systems can be expanded to accommodate up to 16 inputs (12 audio/video inputs, 4 audio-only inputs) and 168 zone outputs. The card-based architecture and modular design means adding sources or zones to existing systems is easy - just slide in a new card and reboot the system.
Like most Audio Authority products, the HLX-8C32D comes with a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Overview
The HLX™ System distributes HDTV signals up to 1,000 feet away to convenient zone receivers mounted wherever televisions are to be located. Its robust back plane design allows up to 12 sources to distribute component video up to 1080p, along with analog stereo audio, digital coaxial audio, and digital optical audio. IR Routing
The HLX includes an IR routing system that is unique in the industry. The new HLX offers individual IR outputs
for each source. This routing system allows IR signals returned from a zone to control only the source currently
routed to that zone. This design is vital for installations including multiple cable or satellite receivers of
the same brand. The HLX also includes a Main IR Output for all signals returned from the remote zones.
Note: IR Routing is not a viable control method for all installations. Before planning to use the HLX system's
IR routing capability in your installation, contact our technical support personnel for more information.
