Dealer-requested features join old standbys to create our best matrix switcher yet, the new HLX series:
The HLX Modular Matrix System accommodates up to 16 inputs (12 audio/video inputs, 4 audio-only inputs) and 168 zone outputs. The card-based architecture and modular design means adding sources or zones to existing systems is easy - just slide in a new card and reboot the system.
Zone receivers sold separately as 9878, 9879 and 9880. (add to your cart below)
Like most Audio Authority products, the HLX 2000 Series comes with a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
The HLX is the ideal solution for mid to large scale installations such as restaurants, casinos and sports bars, hitting the sweet spot where capability meets value.
The HLX is a pro-grade modular matrix system based on a robust card and cage design that is affordable, reliable, and installer-friendly. We designed a new high bandwidth back plane to handle 1080p video from up to 12 sources. Other configurations, such as 8x32, are also available using the six-slot Model 2006 card cage. AV signals include Component Video, digital audio, and analog audio for sources and the same for zones via Cat 5 connections.
Adding sources or zones to existing HLX systems is easy - just slide in an additional card and reboot the system. Integrators will find it is easy to double the number of sources in existing AVAtrix installations because the HLX uses the same Cat 5 cabling and zone receivers.
The HLX™ System distributes HDTV signals up to 1,000 feet away to convenient zone receivers mounted wherever televisions are to be located. Its robust back plane design allows up to 12 sources to distribute component video up to 1080p, along with analog stereo audio, digital coaxial audio, and digital optical audio. The new HLX offers a winning combination of performance, value, and unique features.

IR Routing
The HLX includes an IR routing system that is unique in the industry. The new HLX offers individual IR outputs for
each source. This routing system allows IR signals returned from a zone to control only the source currently routed to
that zone. This design is vital for installations including multiple cable or satellite receivers of the same brand. The
HLX also includes a Main IR Output for all signals returned from the remote zones.
Note: IR Routing is not a viable control method for all installations. Before planning to use the HLX system's IR
routing capability in your installation, contact our technical support personnel for more information.
