Use Audio Authority 2248
8-Output HD Video/Audio Cat-5 Zone Cards to expand the capacity of an HLX Matrix Distribution System.
The 2248 provides component video, coaxial and optical digital audio, analog stereo audio and IR control for up to eight A/V zones.
Built on Audio Authority’s innovative balanced line architecture with Active Gain Equalization (AGE) technology, the 2248 can transmit HD video and audio over twisted-pair cables (such as Cat 5 or Cat 6), with video resolutions as high as 1080p. High definition signal clarity and vibrancy is preserved even when the Zone Receivers are located at distances as great as 1,000 feet!
For shorter runs, 2214 4-Output HD Video/Audio Local Zone Cards may be appropriate.

Overview
HD Video Sources
The 2248 adds four AV sources to an HLX matrix configuration for a maximum of 12 sources per system.
Audio Sources
The audio inputs are useful for AV sources, but can also be used as independent, audio-only source inputs for MP3, CD, or other audio sources or a mixture of audio and AV sources.
