Format Conversion and Scaling

The switchers will scale VGA signals with resolutions between 800x600 through 1920x1200 to fit within a 1080p display without affecting the aspect ratio of the source content. As an example, if an 800x600 source, such as a document camera, were connected to the VGA input, the device would scale and convert the content to a digital 1080p output signal with black bars on the sides of the image (pillarboxed). If the source is 720p, such as mirrored content from a lower resolution laptop, the device will up-scale and convert the content to a digital 1080p output signal. If the source is 1080p, such as a PC connected directly to the VGA input, the unit will convert the content to a digital 1080p output signal.
