The Jensen Transformers
ISO-MAX VBH-3RR is a
3-channel studio-quality high-bandwidth ground loop isolator that can reduce ground current-induced interference,
such as "hum bars" by a factor of over 100, while also reducing audio hum or buzz in connected audio systems.
With bandwidth that extends from DC to 600 MHz and super-low 0.05 dB insertion loss, you can expect excellent picture quality, free of the visible effects of video interference.
Both inputs and outputs feature isolated, gold-plated RCA/IHF connectors. The VBH-3RR is housed in a sturdy metal enclosure, measuring 6.75" W x 6" D x 1.75" H., including the flanges. The flanges have mounting holes, which are handy for permanent installations.
A similar model is also available with BNC connectors as VBH-3BB (add to your cart below), or in a 5-channel version, as VBH-5BB. See all of the VBH-Series isolators here.
Please do not confuse the VBH-3RR with similar (but inferior) products. Jensen Transformers' ISO-MAX Studio-Quality Video Isolators provide the ultimate signal interface solutions. They solve the fundamental problems associated with ground loops, without degrading signal quality.

With inferior products coming from all over the world, we think it is a genuine treasure to find a company like Jensen Transformers, actually designing and manufacturing some of the finest products in the world, right here in the USA, and we are proud to be able to offer their products. The VBH-3RR and VBH-3BB are made in the USA, are backed by the manufacturer's comprehensive one-year warranty, and have a remarkable 20-year warranty on the transformer device itself.
It is a subject that is seldom discussed in manufacturers publications, or even in magazines of the trade, but ground loops can happen even in the most carefully planned A/V system. When ground loops happen in a video system, the result is unwanted hum or video hum bars.
For example, in front projection systems, the power supply for the source components are are typically powered by a different electrical branch circuit than the projector.
When devices in the same system are powered by separate branch circuits, that can cause a difference in ground potential between the two pieces of equipment. It can be because one of the circuits is loaded more heavily than the other, or because one run is longer than the other, or any number of other reasons that are beyond the scope of this article, but the result of this difference in ground potential is commonly referred to as a ground loop.
Ground loops manifest themselves as "hum bars" and other visible artifacts in video systems. Quite often, these hum bars will appear crawl slowly up (or down) the screen as. To make matter worse, it is not uncommon for video ground loops to cause hum and noise in connected audio gear in the same system.
The Jensen Transformers VBH-3RR is elegant in its simplicity. In the example above, one would simply insert the VBH-3RR anywhere in the video path between the source and the projector. Immediately, the effects of the ground loop become a non-issue. Problem solved. There are not too many things that one can install in a video system that can provide so much improvement with so little effort.
Good cables are very important in the fight against hum and noise. You will need short patch cables in order to insert the VBH-3RR into your signal path, and you may want to consider upgrading your existing cable(s) as well. The VBH-3RR does not include any cables, but if you need them, we have some very high-performance component video cables available. Please click here to see them!
The ISO-MAX® VBH-3RR reduces ground current induced video interference such as "hum bars" by a factor of over 100, eliminating the visible effects of these types of interference. The high bandwidth and low VSWR prevent degradation of the picture quality due to high frequency roll-off and cable reflections.
