Intelix DIGI-HD-XR HDMI and IR Balun - HDMI v.1.3b and IR over Twisted-Pair Repeater
The Intelix DIGI-HD-XR HDMI and IR Balun is a professional-grade extender system, capable of extending HDMI and IR by serving as an inline repeater for up to 300 feet over two twisted pair cables such as Cat 5 or Cat 6.
Only one twisted pair is required if HDMI only is to be transmitted.
Ideal for residential A/V, commercial A/V, and digital signage applications, the
DIGI-HD-XR transmits 1080p video up to 150 feet, 720p and 1080i video up to 300 feet, and 480i and 480p video up to 300 feet.
If more range is needed, up to five units can be connected together per run and can go 100 feet between each unit for 1080p.
Intelix's built-in HDshāk® technology provides dynamic HDMI, EDID/DDC and HDCP mode selection, guaranteeing performance and image quality. This trademarked HDshāk® processing allows the DIGI-HD-XR to deliver the highest level of EDID and DDC negotiation, ensuring proper source and destination HDCP handshaking even over extended distances of twisted pair cabling.
In addition, the DIGI-HD-XR features electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuitry which safeguards the HDMI circuit against static electricity and other destructive stray voltage. The unit is HDMI 1.3b and HDCP compliant.
Connection to HDMI is via standard Type A connectors. HDMI cables are not included, but we do have them available here. Connection to the twisted-pair cables is via RJ45.
These units are sold singly, so you must combine with a compatible twisted-pair transmitter or distribution system (sold separately), so you can get exactly the functionality you need. Use any one of the following transmitters/distribution systems:

As with virtually all systems that are based upon twisted-pair cable technology, the Intelix HDMI Twisted-pair Matrix Distribution System will work with virtually any twisted-pair cables, including Cat-5e and Cat-6, but range and bandwidth is directly related to both distance and cable quality, so to get the highest resolutions at the greatest distances, you will want high-quality, low-skew cables. If you want the very best pre-terminated cables, please consider our VideoTwist cables. If used in an environment with high electromagnetic interference (EMI), shielded twisted pair cable should be used.
Like most Intelix products, the DIGI-HD-XR comes with a two year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Tired of problem installations? Rethink HDMI with the Intelix DIGI-HD-XR.
The Intelix DIGI-HD-XR extends HDMI and IR over twisted pair cabling distances by serving as an inline repeater. Each inline unit provides the maximum Intelix twisted pair cabling distance—up to 300’ depending on resolution and cable grade—and five units may be connected per run.
The DIGI-HD-XR features a local HDMI output and a local IR input, providing audio and video to a connected display and an IR connection point for remote source control. The unit is compatible with Intelix DIGI-HD-UHR2, DIGI-HD-IR3, and DIGI-HD-IR3 HDMI over twisted pair extenders.
Extremely versatile, the DIGI-HD-XR also doubles as a receiver for Intelix HDMI twisted pair matrices, such as the DIGI-HD-8X8, DIGI-HD-4X4, and DIGI-HD-4X2. It can be used in place of the DIGI-HD-IR3-R and DIGI-HD-UHR2-R.
