The Intelix DIGI-HD-COAX2 is the successor to the original DIGI-HD-COAX HDMI over Coax Extender, which basically reinvented HDMI Distribution!
This HDCP-compliant extender distributes up to 1080p HDMI over a single coaxial cable.
“The DIGI-HD-COAX reinvents HDMI distribution,” explains Steve Cohan, Intelix C.E.O. “Installers are constantly faced with retrofitting systems with bulky HDMI, expensive fiber, and twisted pair cables. Many installations already have RG6 and RG59 installed, why not use it?”
The new DIGI-HD-COAX2 takes the original concept to a new level. It handles multichannel audio, does not have a minimum cable distance, is compatible with 50hz and 60hz systems, is readily mountable, and is compatible with more sources and destinations. In short, it is radically improved technology.
The DIGI-HD-COAX2 can transmit 1080p HDMI signals up to 90 meters (300 feet) over a single coaxial cable, giving it the advantage of greater range when compared to most twisted-pair extenders.
Much greater distances are possible at lower resolutions...see the spec sheet on this page for details. Keep in mind too that you can squeeze a bit more range out of the system by using high-performance coaxial cables, like our Canare
L-4CFB or L-5CFB precision cables. Please ask for details.
Beyond that, each receiver unit has a "loop out", making it possible to distribute HDMI to multiple display devices by simply cascading additional receivers in a daisy-chain fashion (add to your cart below), a feature that we have yet to see in a twisted-pair extender system. With full support for HDMI v1.3b, the DIGI-HD-COAX2 can handle advanced features, including (but not limited to) 1080p, Deep Color, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless audio formats, as well as full HDCP compliance. Please notice, however, that 3D is not supported.
Since the the system can also make use of existing coaxial cabling, that makes the DIGI-HD-COAX a great choice for retrofit installations because the cost of new cable(s) and installation labor can be completely eliminated.
The DIGI-HD-COAX2 system consists of at least one DIGI-HD-COAX2-S sender and one DIGI-HD-COAX2-R receiver and the transmitter can drive up to 14 receivers (7 on each of the two outputs). Senders/Receivers are sold separately, so just add the quantity of each that you need to your cart below.
Like most Intelix products, the DIGI-HD-COAX comes with a two year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

DIGI-HD-COAX2 Feature Focus

In this connection example, HDMI is transmitted to two separate runs of
coaxial cable. Each run supports up to seven receivers, for a total of 14 receivers per transmitter.
