The Intelix DIGI-88FS 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switcher feature list starts with sub-half-second switching. To that, Intelix has added pre-selectable input and output resolutions for maximum flexibility.
Anyone who has ever hoped to use a 720p monitor in an otherwise 1080p matrix switched system will be familiar with the inherent limitations. The DIGI-88FS' ability to tailor each HDMI matrix output to the specific monitor that is connected to that port makes all of those problems a thing of the past. The DIGI-88FS can up-scale, down-scale, or pass native resolutions, making it one of the most versatile and useful HDMI matrix switchers on the market.
Control the matrix system with the front-panel push, via the included IR remote control, or use the built-in web server's GUI to control the DIGI-88FS from any computer or smart phone. An RS-232 interface is included for interfacing with most third-party control systems.
The attractive metal housing can be installed on a shelf using the included feet, or rack-mounted using the included hardware in a 1-U space. The built-in internal power supply is an elegant alternative to power bricks and wall-warts, making for a clean and uncluttered installation. The built-in power supply is of a universal design, making this HDMI matrix switcher/scaler useable just about anywhere in the world. The supplied power cord is intended for the US market, but of course such cords are readily available for all power systems.
In addition to the DIGI-88FS unit itself, the package includes an IR remote control, IR receiver eye, US power cable, and a printed Installation and Operation Guide. Also included are decorative feet for shelf installations, as well as mounting ears and hardware for rack mounting.
Like most Intelix products, the DIGI-88FS comes with a two year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
The Intelix DIGI-88FS eight input by eight output HDMI matrix is designed to add fast switching and scaling to enhance the user experience in professional installations.
The new DIGI-88FS features eight HDMI inputs and eight scaling HDMI outputs with support for resolutions up to 1920x1200. Regardless of the source video resolution, the display will always receive the ideal video resolution. Gone are the days of not being able to view 1080p content on a WXGA or 720p display.
In addition to the fast switching and scaling capabilities of the matrix, the DIGI-88FS can also be configured to automatically advance to the next HDMI input if the current video source is powered off.
The DIGI-88FS can be controlled via the front panel, infrared (IR), RS232, or via a web GUI when connected to an internal network. The extensive variety of control options makes the DIGI-88FS an easily accessible matrix for any control system.
The DIGI-88FS takes up only one rack unit, saving valuable real estate in an equipment rack. The 62-watt internal power supply with an industry standard IEC power input in the DIGI-88FS eliminates the need for traditional “wall wart” or inline power supplies.
