The Intelix AVO-V1A2-WP110
Composite Video and Stereo Audio Wallplate Balun transmits/receives composite video and stereo (or two mono) audio signals up to 2200
feet over a single Cat 5 type cable.
This professional-grade device uses a high-performance passive design to deliver crisp composite video and audiophile-quality stereo sound.
The Intelix AVO-V1A2-WP110 Composite Video and Stereo Audio Wallplate Balun is an ideal solution for corporate A/V, schools, churches, auditoriums, as well as for discriminating individuals - just about any situation that involves A/V distribution.
With its attractive Decora-style wallplate design, the Intelix
AVO-V1A2-WP110 is simple to install in a standard single-gang electrical box. A Decora trim cover is not included, but we do offer
them as an option below.
The video connector is an RCA-female jack, suitable for use with standard composite video cables. The audio connectors are RCA-female as well, color-coded white and red for use with standard audio interconnect cables. Connection to the twisted-pair cable is via 110 punch-down for quick and easy installation with unterminated twisted-pair cabling.
Notice that Intelix baluns are designed to work with standard unshielded CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 twisted-pair cable - shielded cable is not required! If you want the very best twisted-pair cables, please check out our VideoTwist Cat-6 cables.
These units are sold singly, so you must purchase pairs, combine with another
V1A2-series balun, or use with the

The Intelix AVO-V1A2-WP110 wallplate balun transmits composite video and stereo analog audio signals over standard unshielded twisted pair cabling, such as Cat 5 or Cat 6. Used in pairs or with a compatible Intelix balun, the AVO-V1A2-WP110 transmits signals up to 2,200 feet and is ideal for corporate A/V, churches, schools, auditoriums, and almost any other situation involving audio distribution. The AVO-V1A2-WP110 features three female RCA connectors on the front and a 110 punch-down termination on the rear. The unit includes a 110 termination tool.

In this connection example, an
AVO-V1A2-WP110 wallplate balun and an Intelix AVO-V1A2-F rack-mountable balun connects a DVD player to a remote plasma
and an audio receiver. Audio and video from the DVD player is balanced by the source balun, transmitted over the Cat 5 cabling, and
then unbalanced by the receive balun. The audio from the DVD player is sent to the audio receiver and the video is sent to the plasma.
