The Intelix AVO-A2MINI-WP-F Analog Stereo Audio Wallplate Balun transmits/receives stereo (or two mono) audio signals up to 2500 feet over a single CAT 5 type cable.
This professional-grade device uses a high-performance passive design to deliver audiophile-quality sound, making it the ideal choice for corporate A/V, schools, churches, auditoriums, as well as for discriminating individuals - just about any situation that involves audio distribution.
With its attractive Decora-style wallplate design, the Intelix AVO-A2MINI-WP-F is simple to install in a standard single-gang electrical box. A Decora trim cover is not included, but we do offer them as an option below.
The audio connector is a 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS mini-phone-female, suitable for use with computers and mp3 players. Use with standard headphones on the receiver end, or audio interconnect cables on the transmit end. Connection to the twisted-pair cable is via RJ45.
Notice that Intelix baluns are designed to work with standard unshielded CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 cable - shielded cable is not required! If you want the very best RJ-45 pre-terminated twisted-pair cables, please check out our VideoTwist Cat-6 cables.

AVO-A2MINI-WP-F Stereo Audio Wallplate Balun
The Intelix AVO-A2MINI-WP-F is an ultra-high performance audio balun designed for applications where audio quality is critical, such as high-end residential and broadcast. Used in pairs, the AVO-A2MINI-WP-F is the perfect solution for transmitting two channels of analog audio over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Simply place an AVO-A2MINI-WP-F or compatible balun at each end of your cable run and connect your source and destination devices. The AVO-A2MINI-WP-F features a female 1/8" mini connector on a standard Decora plate.
The Intelix AVO-A2MINI-WP wall-plate balun transmits stereo analog audio via standard structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs or with a rack-mountable Intelix AVO-A2 balun, the AVO-A2MINI-WP features an 1/8” mini (typical headphone) jack and transmits analog audio in either direction up to 2,500 feet. The AVO-A2MINI-WP is ideal for transmitting computer and .mp3 player audio.

In this connection example, two
AVO-A2MINI-WP-F baluns connect a remote CD player to a receiver. The distance between these devices may be up to 2500
feet. Two patch cords with RCA connectors are required to connect the baluns to the source and destination devices. (Patch cords sold separate.)
