These Canare GS-6 Guitar and Instrument cables are perfect for connecting Guitar/Bass or Keyboards to amps, mixers, effects pedals and all outboard signal processing gear.  They are also excellent for Amp Head to Speaker Cabinet leads.

Choose from a wide range of lengths, eight different connector options, and three different jacket colors.  These cables are sold singly, but of course, you can purchase multiples for stereo or multi-channel hook-ups.

Unlike some of the lesser Canare cable assemblies that you may have seen, our version is hand-crafted, using the finest connectors from Canare and Neutrik. We use only fresh cable stock and connectors - no old stock or factory seconds.  Our terminations are meticulously installed by our skilled craftsmen, using the best techniques and the finest silver solder.

The Cable

We use Canare GS-6 - Canare's best guitar and instrument cable.  This specially designed cable features a center conductor that is comprised of 127 strands of Oxygen Free Copper, for an aggregate AWG of 18, a modified PE dielectric and a proprietary low-noise double shielding system.  Canare uses a special process to create a cross-linked polymer compound, resulting in a dielectric material.  This low capacitance and low series resistance design ensures superior frequency response to 50 KHz.  Sound is faithfully transmitted, even when using HI‑Z guitar pick-ups and/or long cables.  You get superior signal transmission with the lowest possible noise.

Canare's innovative shielding system utilizes a Conductive Carbon Plastic Shield to protect against undesirable microphonics and handling noise while a high-density secondary stranded Oxygen Free Copper shield controls EMF, further reducing noise.  Unlike spirally shielded cables, Canare's braided shield is designed to prevent spreading over time.  The braid is made from a large number of thin copper strands for outstanding noise rejection, super flexibility and long flex-life.  An attractive smooth satin matte-finished PVC jacket provides protection while preserving flexibility and contributing to the overall impression of high quality.

The Connectors

• Canare F-15
  Our standard configuration uses Canare's own F-15  1/4" TS phone plugs.  These excellent connectors feature a one-piece body with a pure brass bar that runs the full length of the handle.  Canare claims that the design is 50 percent stronger than ordinary plugs and 20 percent stronger than other high-grade plugs.  The solid brass handle shuts out static and EM noise.  A satin-finished nickel plating provides long-lasting protection and beauty.  A spring-type strain-relief prevents cable damage due to repeated bending at the cable entry point, so cables last up to three times longer than with plugs that do not have strain-reliefs.

  Slimline RCA connector, smaller than Canare's F-09, making it an ideal choice for use with vintage equipment (or any equipment that has close connector spacing).  They are not as robust as the Canare offerings, but with an OD of just 0.413", they are an excellent alternative for hook-ups where the Canare connectors just won't fit. We add heat-shrink tubing to provide some strain-relief.

The Results

When our skilled technicians join this uniquely silent cable to this select offering of premium connectors, the result is a cable that compliments just about any musical style.  Some have described the sound as "warm", although the actual measured frequency response is perfect to over 50 KHz, so it may be that some listeners perceive the pure sound and absence of background noise as warmth.  It has also been said that these cables compare favorably to George L's and Cardas, but as much as we appreciate the comparison to such well-respected brands, we think you will agree that our cables have their own set of unique advantages...they set some standards of their own.  In any case, the unusually noise-free, clear, delightfully open and natural sound is hard to deny and these same characteristics bring the advantage of reduced listener fatigue as an unexpected bonus.  Inspired design and the kind of expertise that comes only with time, combine to create cables that bring out the best in your music.
