This is Audio Authority's AVAtrix 2.0 Cat 5 HD Matrix, AVM-562 Whole-House Routing System w/ Component Video. The AVM-562 is essentially identical to the AVX-562 - the model number is the only change.
If you consider elegance of design and functionally, you will be hard-pressed to find any other system that puts such a rich feature set and operational flexibility into a single well-integrated modular system. This second-generation flagship product has so many features that it may be hard to take it all in - it may help to read this AVM-562 focus document to get an idea of how the various modules work together.
Audio Authority has once again combined their highly-respected electronic switching technology with a CAT-5 distribution system to create an amazingly flexible routing system. The system makes it simple to distribute high-definition component video at up to 1080p, as well as digital audio, stereo audio, and IR. Any of the monitors can select between any of the six sources! Watch and listen to the same source at all remote locations, or watch/listen to any mix of the six sources at each remote location.
The standard AVM-562 system comes with a 4-port bus cable, which can accommodate system expansion to as many as 18 ports. If you plan to expand the system beyond 18 ports, we also offer the AVM-562E, which comes standard with a 7-port bus cable The AVM-562E is among the options shown below.
The system provides an IR pathway from each remote wallplate, making it possible to control the system from multiple locations. In addition, there is also support for a local monitor/audio.
The CAT-5 driver system can transmit video and audio up to 1000 feet without any frequency roll-off or signal attenuation, so colors and details are faithfully preserved for your maximum enjoyment.
Zone receivers for the AVM-562 are sold separately. This Cat 5 Receiver Comparison may be helpful in selecting from the five different configurations of wallplates and enclosed receivers that are available. Once you decide which receivers you prefer, you can add them to your system configuration below.

IR Routing
The AVAtrix includes an IR routing system that is unique in the industry. The new AVM-562 offers individual IR outputs for each source. This routing system allows IR signals returned from a wallplate to control only the source currently routed to that zone. This design is vital for installations including multiple cable or satellite receivers of the same brand. The AVAtrix also includes a Main IR Output for all signals returned from the remote zones.
Note: IR Routing is not a viable control method for all installations. Before planning to use the AVAtrix's IR routing system in your installation, contact our technical support personnel for more information.
