The Audio Authority Model 979R Digital to Analog Audio Converter is unlike other D to A converters that you may have seen in that it is able to handle multiple two-channel PCM digital audio formats, including 48, 96, and 192K bitrates, converting them to audiophile-quality analog stereo audio.
The 979R has inputs for either optical or coaxial digital audio, either of which may be used at any given time.
Please notice that the the 979R requires a two-channel (stereo) PCM digital audio input - it will not convert Dolby Digital or DTS formats, so be sure to verify that your source(s) can be configured to output 2-channel PCM.
Like most Audio Authority products, the 979R comes with a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Only one digital audio input may be utilized at a time - select either digital coaxial or digital optical audio. For digital audio switching, please consider the Model 1177A.
Perfect for use with baluns that only offer digital audio pathways - pair it with a 979T at the transmission end to convert to digital audio, then back again.
