This Audio Authority 1171BK MultiDriver can distribute high-definition component video, as well as both analog and digital audio, to six HDTV monitors, using inexpensive CAT5-type cables. In addition, by using the optional 1170BK expansion modules, this modular system can be easily expanded to accommodate as many as 48 remote locations!
Just add your choice of Wallplate/Receivers, such as the 9878 Stainless Steel, dual-gang, shallow-depth wallplate, 9879 single-gang Decora®-style wallplate and/or the 9880 enclosed on-wall or in-wall Cat 5 receiver. (Receivers are not included).
The Model 1171BK delivers pristine HDTV video at resolutions up to 1080p, as well as full bandwidth analog stereo audio and multi-channel digital audio. The 1171BK even includes a return pathway for IR control. The 1171BK and optional 1170BK expansion modules can be rack-mounted to form an elegant (and rather large) distribution system.
Zone receivers for the AVM-562 are sold separately. Once you decide which receivers you prefer, you can add them to your system configuration below.
Like most Audio Authority products, the Model 1171BK comes with a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Model 1171BK
Distribute HDTV signals to multiple zones over Cat 5 cable with this Cat 5 driver, which serves six remote locations. Outputs are expandable in increments of six.
Model 1171 incorporates the key signal paths necessary for premium audio and video entertainment, plus an IR pathway for easy remote control of AV components. All this over just two inexpensive, easy to install, Cat 5 cables.

Cat 5 Wallplate/Receiver Options
Choose from three different receiver styles: a single-gang
Decora wallplate, a dual-gang stainless steel wallplate,
and a breakout box. Wallplates are easy to install in a
standard electrical box, while the breakout box can be mounted on any flat surface. Two Cat 5 cables
deliver component video, digital audio and analog audio to each receiver. The 3.5mm IR jack provides a
convenient pathway for a third party IR remote distribution network over the Cat 5 pathway. Use
compatible IR receivers and emitters (see 1171 manual). IR receiver and emitter equipment not
included.

Reliable and Expandable
Our unique cable length compensation allows adjustment for the optimal signal strength at any
distance up to 1,000 feet from the source. Like our commercial video distribution products, the 1171
provides reliable ground isolation, preventing hum bars and other artifacts associated with ground
loops.
It's easy to expand a 1171 System to any size. Simply stack 1170 Expanders with the 1171
MultiDriver and connect additional Wallplates. Up to 48 Wallplates may be served in this way. See the

While the 1171 is ideal for new construction or an existing home, it does require special
knowledge and tools to install. We suggest you contact a local custom home installation specialist.
