The Gefen FireWire Repeater can be used to double the distance of any FireWire cable,
allowing greater distance between devices. The FW-141 design features the Texas
Instruments PHY chipset, ensuring that your digital transmissions are error-free and
bit-perfect.
The FW-141 supports the latest 6pin FireWire
peripherals. It complies with IEEE 1394a standards for reliable throughput
at 100, 200, and 400 Mbps transfer rates. It works with 6/6 pin cables
(or with 4/6 pin cables with the optional power supply) and is suitable for HDTV, DVD, A/V receivers, PC
or Mac computers, or any FireWire-enabled equipment.
The compact design uses a shielded plastic case, which can be easily mounted
with the included double-sided adhesive tape.
FireWire is also known as i.Link, iLink, IEEE.1394.a.

The Firewire
Repeater 400 works by repeating the Firewire signal and doubling the
distance of any Firewire 400 cable. It enables Firewire devices to
be placed far from the computer for those who prefer to work in a
quiet, non-intrusive environment.
How it works
The
Firewire Repeater 400 is placed at the end of each 33 foot Firewire
400 cable, you can use any combination of Firewire extension cables
to extend up to 250 feet.
